Much appreciated, I-Man. I think GEC has found yet another lifelong fan of their oily creek bone. Yesterday was the first time I hadn't carried the knife since I got it.Ivoryman wrote:That is some good looking two tone bone Bomba.

Everything's better with a Barlow
Re: Is your EDC a GEC?
Yup, 77. I was lucky enough to get one and it is used often. I have to say that it is one of my favorites.Ivoryman wrote:Thanks bud, great looking one on the left, what is that a Yankee Jack 77? Love the curve of the spine on that spear. Great color on all those, but the lefty is my kind of style.J1890 wrote:Iman, that orange is sweet. After a long week at work, I'm going a little bananas I think I'll shop for a new knife
I'm going to tote these three. I'll probably be leaning to one side as I walk.

This is the 72 Frontier bone I posted 3 months ago, its been used on jobsites, in the kitchen and on the river.
Not much etch left, but that's fine with me, it is broken in.....
The second knife is a 73 Cocobolo that's going to work soon.....

The Big Jack's showing a little patina these days. I think I might carry it all week, it's such a useful knife in the LFP.

Gotta love those Calf Ropers. Good looking knife!
This GEC made Northwoods Little Bay has occupied my watch pocket since I got it 2 weeks ago.

Beauty Railsplitter, glad to hear you like it. I nabbed a Goldenrod 25 Barlow Spear blade and never regretted it for a second. Sweeeeeeeeeet knives.

Re: Is your EDC a GEC?
Thanks Ivoryman. They certainly are a hard pattern not to like. My very first GEC was a 25 Easy Open with a Sheepsfoot blade that I bought in 2009. Several have come and gone from my collection for various reasons but I have never grown tired of the pattern.Ivoryman wrote:Beauty Railsplitter, glad to hear you like it. Good to hear, that 25 sheep foot EZ open is about my favorite in the pattern, let me know if you ever want to part with it, I'll take it.

Re: Is your EDC a GEC?
As luck would have it, the only Sheepsfoot EO that I still have is one just like yours. If I remember correctly, I gave away that 2009 in a contest that I hosted on this forum several years ago. My username was Sablemaster back then but I had it changed a couple years ago.Ivoryman wrote:Good to hear, that 25 sheep foot EZ open is about my favorite in the pattern, let me know if you ever want to part with it, I'll take it.

Re: Is your EDC a GEC?
Hope you like it as much as I like mine, great little carry. Love it. And here's another I got recently that is really making me like it more. 74 Mustang. I dyed the bone from an orange sort of look to this brownish. Love the bones and the blade. Decent shield too.

Very nice Ivoryman.. ..I like the color and jigging, shield is pretty cool. I believe I'd have to carry that one...

How about a # 43 Frontier bone. This one has some cosmetic issues and was labeled EDC.
Re: Is your EDC a GEC?
Great bone on that one LSS, looks like Mammoth ivory in a way. Beauty of a knife.

Safe Queen for years until I could bring myself to use it and now I wish I hadn't denied it so long. Great knife that's fun to use and thin in the pocket. Decent to look at.

Those two look pretty new David, not much pocket time yet. But good choices.
