Greg, very nice! I like seeing the pictures stacked like that. It helps me understand why I favor a long pull by being able to see exactly what the differences are.

Very nice Greg. That with with the punch Floats my boat highest. All are just darn fine no doubt. Just drawn to that one of the bunch personally.gsmith7158 wrote:Well about half way through my lawn mowing endeavor The skies darkened and a deluge ensued. So I took that as a sign from the knife gods that I should go inside and take some pictures of my knives. Here are the 45's I've managed to accumulate so far.

Jerry your 02245 budding and grafting knife is very nice and very rare!
Re: Cattle Knives, 45 pattern!
Thanks Ralph! It is a mint and very rare one. Book value is a joke in my opinion. They just are not around and not in this condition.RalphAlsip wrote:Jerry your 02245 budding and grafting knife is very nice and very rare!
That said, that knife is one of my favorites. Either in my pocket when I am gone, cold when they warm me in the hot oven or going to my Grandson that will understand what he has. I am leaning toward the former not the latter. That knife is not going anywhere besides those two options.
Thanks for the compliment! Regards, Nevada Jerry

Jerry, I guess it's a small world after all. I stumbled upon one just like yours a few years ago. We are both very fortunate to own these as I was also told that it's a very rare knife.

Jdub, Nice Case XX 6345 1/2! In the XX era the 45 knives were made with premium nickel silver components (pins, liners, bolsters) so it is a well-made knife like the 6380 you collect.
Re: Cattle Knives, 45 pattern!
Thanks, this is only the second one of these I've ever had. I really like it. Super nice knife.

Re: Cattle Knives, 45 pattern!
It has been a long time since a Case 45 cattle knife has joined my herd - there don't seem to be many of these hitting the market. These pictures are a Case Tested XX 05245 1/2. The 2 blade 45 patterns with a single back spring have a very slim profile. Thanks for looking.

Just some very nice knives being posted. This is my only contribution, a smooth black cattle. Picked it up at a flea market in the condition you see.

Greg, your Tested XX 05245 1/2 is really pretty. The stag is fantastic. Thanks for bumping the thread. 45's seem pretty scarce lately and you found a super nice one.
