Henry Sears knife with Korn patented pop up corkscrew. Press down on the foil cutter and the corkscrew pops up.

Nice score, there were only 15 of them made that have that etch. Wish I could have had them all made with the old Cattaraugus wood. Had to settle for rosewood that Bill had.

Re: JBF Champlin & Sons

Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there. If you like the 85's here are 4 of them I have not posted before. When Derek and I were having Bill make our knives we started with the 85's. 50 were in bone and 50 were in ebony. It was not the wood we found in the old Cattaraugus factory but ebony that Bill had. Since we were getting our trademarks done we asked Bill to make 3 knives with an etch for each of the trademarks in the 85 pattern. He made 2 sets of the knives, one for me and one for Derek. Since we only had about 20 old Rosewood handles from the factory at the time we asked him to also make 5, 85's using the old wood. Derek got one, his ex wife who is a Champlin got one, the owner of the old Cattaraugus factory got one and my friend Donna that went with me to collect the wood got one also. Pictured is mine.

Also we hope to have a single bladed knife with the old Rosewood handles from the factory for sale in Aug/Sept. They will not be made by GEC but by a custom maker. Should be 15 only!!! We are very excited to say the least.

Mike

Those were the second run of the EUREKA’s and they had covers supplied by Bill and not from the Cattaraugus batch I found, just an FYI

Putting this here only because it is where we started from!! For those of you that have been wondering what Eric has been up too???

We are happy to announce that Eric Albers of NY has agreed to make knives for us using the old Cattaraugus Rosewood as covers for them. The first run of 19 knives is in the mail on their way to me and we are so very happy to have them. 4 are spoken for and will not be sold but the other 15 will be sold. 14 are sold to people that have been following us for years. They come in a period box with a copy of an old trade card with a certificate attached. We have 1 of the remaining knives available that will be auctioned off in our group on FB.
