Old Queen Cutlery Co. Knives

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Both blades have half stops. Mine has slightly different composition covers.
Joe, mine is the same size ::nod::

That's a model 10 Heavy Jack. Measures 3 5/8" and has black composite handles. Made circa 1937-45.
The model 10 had a clip main. The model 18, a spear main.

The model 10 is my favorite Queen to collect. Was made in black composite, winterbottom bone, Delrin and Roger's bone.
This is almost 3 3/4" ::shrug::
Almost 3 3/4" ( which also translates to 3 6/8") is about 3 5/8". Queen actually measured it at 3 11/16".

Check this one out. Got it from Steve Pfeiffer / knifeaholic.
It's a Ka-Bar Jack made by Queen ( I believe it is but I'm no expert - still researching it ). It's a pattern 18 which is the same as the 10 pattern but with a spear main.
This knife is the same as the Queen City knives in this thread with a slight difference in the bolster.

I heard from a few KA-BAR collectors and this knife was NOT made by Queen, as I thought. It's really close but not a Queen.

Has black composite smooth handles and is all steel. No brass liners or pins.

The last pic of the tang stamp was taken with my new USB microscope.

Thanks.
You're gonna love the microscope. Takes pics as well as video. You can go full screen if needed and it's not that big so it won't get in the way. Measures about 5" wide, 6.5" deep, 7' high ( The whole unit, not just the microscope).

If your tablet has a USB port, you're all set.
But.....the software installation requires a CD/DVD drive.

That is a neat set especially that you have the original sheath and box. What's interesting are the two different tang stamps, both from the same era.
Queen used more than a few different stamping in the 40's and 50's.

Here's a Queen 4" #31 Half Congress. Winterbottom bone that has aged nicely. This one was someone's EDC years ago as you can see from the blade wear. I carried it to work today and used it on occasion. I'm not a fan of the congress pattern for EDC but the half congress, with only two blades is so thin, that it worked for me. It's now a part of my rotation.

Nice pen knife. Seeing your knife made me realize that I don't have one knife with pearl handles. Might have to change that. ::nod::

Hey GUYS, thought I would post my newly pickup here. Very special and Rare knife
Very few and far between in my opinion!! I have been doing ebay day in and day out, for over 7yrs now and I have NOT came across This Queen City pattern before. For those that do NOT know,,This is called WINTERBOTTOM bone. Knife is a real handful at 4 1/4" closed.

Its an Awesome knife to me, that should be posted right here on aapk for everyone to enjoy. I would love to see a catolog picture of it,,,But I dont have a Queen book that will show it,,,anybody??

The only catalogs pics I have are below as there were MANY variations of these knives,,including flat/round bolsters, Different shields, Long pull or not, steel lined or brass, Etc.
Knife may have had a clip blade at one time, very difficult to tell either way.
Thx Mark
