I have this handmade knife which is unmarked, the sheath is marked as handcrafted by Don Baker. Any info would be

I would start looking for the sheathmaker, If you can find him perhaps you can find the knife maker.

There are thousands of Knifemaker in the USA, without some sort of marking it is pretty hard identify the maker.

I have no idea who made it but it sure does look like a real useful knife.

Most custom knife makers put their own mark on custom made blades, however your maker could be just starting out and used a "premade" blade available at places like Texas Knifemaker Supply or Jantz Supply. They are already drilled and ground and polished and heat treated, so all a new guy would have to do is put his own handle material on one and either make a sheath or buy one from a leather worker. I'm not saying that is what yours is but it is a good possibility since it doesn't have any makers mark. Don Baker knew what he was doing, nice looking rig. ::handshake:: Terry

I have had no luck finding anything about Don Baker other than a listing on Worthpoint that sold some time back. The sheath and knife are both very good quality.

There's also a Don Baker from New Boston, MI. He's on a forum called: iknifecollector.com. It says he's a knife maker. You could try contacting him on that page.
