Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Wallace went to work for Camillus in the 1970s, worked there 30+ years and was THE custom shop for Camillus. He does great work. I have a couple of 72s he rehandled for me, one in gold lip pearl, the other in pre-ban elephant ivory and they are out standing. I guess you could say that Wallace is to Camillus what Herman Williams is to Schrade.

Wallace also made many of the best Camillus fixed blades, like the Jerry Fisk knives, knives that still sell in the $300 - $400 range.

Re: Camillus 47
Here is a # 47, 4 7/8" all metal lockback. Hardly ever see this one. Does it have much collector value ?
The Buck 111 looks similar to this Camillus. If i can find my 111 i will post a picture for comparison.

Vit., thanks ! Only 10,000 explains why they are not often seen. It could be a very usable knife, same size blade as a 5" LB but much more slender and light weight.
Even though almost rare collectors don't seem to have much interest in the metal handled knives.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Camillus 75 Junior Cattle Knife, circa 1957. Great opening and closing snap, BROWNSTAG handles, original edges. A bit of peppering tarnish on the Sheepfoot and Pen blades. Been needing some older Camillus Cutlery knives - this one was a good one to start with. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark
