Muskrat Love!

Post by Stakeknife »

Why I like the muskrat, simple, you pull it out of your pocket and you don't have to decide which blade to use. ::ds::

You don't see those CASE Hawbakers every day. ::tu:: I have a very sad story about an original Schrade CutCo Hawbaker. So sad that I will not tell it and I won't get to show it either. :( But I did get a few nice muskrats over the years. This one is bone.

I saw one from Case that has one CV blade and one SS. I guess you could use the SS blade for your apple. And the other for everything else. ::hmm::

One of my favorite things about the muskrat, is that you don't have to worry about orienting it in your hand when you pull it out of your pocket....no matter which way you grab it you have access to a sharp pointy slicey blade!

....and Good Lord, Mr. B....those are some beauties you are dropping in here ! Wowza ::woot::

The Muskrat is a neat style of pocketknife - a true purpose built knife; you gents have some nice ones. I have a couple of the traditional versions with identical blades, however I really like the look of Muskrat's with two different blades, but still useful for the same purpose - skinning small game. Here's a Parker Eagle Brand Hawbaker made in Japan. Just realized that this is the only Muskrat that I own. Sold off a few S&M Muskrats about a few weeks ago. Looks like a Muskrat purchase is in my future.
