Blade pattern.

Post by Edgewise »

I was wondering what this blade pattern is called and if it's associated with any knife.
It looks like a spearpoint trying to be a wharncliffe.
My other Steel Warrior has a Spey blade instead.

Some may call that a zulu spear. I don't rightly know.

Didn't do that for me. Had to save it, flip it and then re-post it. Yeah, that's what I've seen referred to as Tribal Spear. ::shrug::

Just looks like a slightly large pen blade to me with an imperfect grind. ::shrug::

I would have called it a drop point until my attention was directed to the difference. I like it, whatever it should be called. Steel Warrior has a bit of an offbeat blade shape at times. Here is a half whittler where the secondary blade does not really fit any standard blade shape. In my opinion it is pretty cool, but I do wonder it the Chinese do it on purpose or just do not get traditional blade patterns?
