That they do Greg! I had not heard Nanci Griffith sing it but have been a fan of hers for years, ever since I heard "Love at the Five and Dime".

I've liked "Night Rider's Lament" ever since I first heard it by Jerry Jeff back in the 70s. I heard it started as a cowboy poem, which Jerry Jeff put the words to music and added the yodel as the song that "camp cookie" sang. He yodels more (and better IMHO) on his 1975 recording than on the live performance I posted, but he was a lot younger back then. :lol: Lots of performers have recorded it since, but my favorite version is by Suzy Boggus. ::tu:: The ladies can get those high notes!
