I discovered I had never posted this Colonial Ranger LB-125.

Re: Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em
I went back and scrolled through the entire thread and discovered that the Scout type knife that 313 Mike gave me a few years ago is the only Colonial I've posted in this thread.
I also have a Colonial #2644 Campers Combo.
and a Colonial ~ Old Cutler Jack that's part of my small collection of medium jacks.

Hi garddogg. That is a hard working knife right there. I have one too. The model # 933.
I bought mine cheap because the top of the main blade was broken off. I re shaped it into what you see here and its an incredibly useful knife that cost me $3. It has built up quite a patina.

Re: Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em
Here are a couple interesting Swiss Masters. The 4 blade model is an older one with the first hot stamp shield and cross Colonial used on their Swiss Masters. Victorinox felt it was too similar to their logo and they asked Colonial to change it. So to avoid legal problems Colonial changed to the cross with two lines.
I have been looking for one of Colonials 1 blade florist model Swiss Masters for years but I didn't know there was a 2 blade Swiss Master. So finding it was a fun surprise!
The old Swiss Master.

Here you can see both the old and new cross.

I also got the knives I was missing for my Old Cutler collectors edition box. This Old Cutler Barlow is so nice and feels heavy duty. I want a few more of these.

Re: Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em
I'll offer this up as a teaser to give myself inspiration to take pictures of the rest. This is the latest Colonial in my hoard, a Sharp USA-stamped 2-blade jack in Colonial's infamous faux-stag, on the same frame as the 3-spring stockman also stamped with "Sharp USA 270". 270 might be the pattern number?
This is the stockman for comparison:
A newer poster in General Knife Discussion posted a Colonial-stamped version of the stockman this week, so it should be interesting to see how many variants of these little serpentine knives we can put together with the collective accumulators of AAPK working on it.

I'm looking forward to your pictures. And funny that you mention these. I'm working on some pictures of a couple Colonial Sharp knives I have so I can add them to my website soon.
I got a new one recently too. We might be buying knives from the same guy.
Did you get your Sharp from a guy in Providence R.I? I have bought 5 Colonials from him this month. I love it when they come from the motherland!
Re: Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em
Here are a couple Forest Masters made after Colonial stopped putting on shields. They have red and white stagged handles and the white one is glow in the dark. I have seen 3 other models of Colonials that glow but this is the first Forest Master.

Re: Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em
I'd have to go back and check, I think it was just a one-off in my case. It is possible that some of the other Colonial-made Sharps came from there, however. I have records on a few of them, I'll check and see.B.Mauser wrote:I'm looking forward to your pictures. And funny that you mention these. Life's been preventing me from getting a lot of my knives photographed but once I can secure a little free time I will be reorganizing everything and photographing the notables. I've already gotten started on the first part. Now, I just need to get through another looong work week.
