Good Mornin', Folks.
We had thunder with no rain yesterday, the temperature is inching on up, 91 was our high. This morning it already 76°. Yard work was on the agenda yesterday. Had a neighbor from over on the next road bring us a nice sack of straight necked squash from her brother's garden. A lazy, laid back day was enjoyed.
Sittin' here watching hummingbirds, squirrels, rabbits, doves and red birds (Cardinals) in the front yard as my coffee cools down. Church in a couple of hours then that Sunday afternoon nap.

Good morning diner patrons. Jp, Ike, Gary, and Ray I thank you for the anniversary well-wishes. We had a really good time and a safe journey home. I was the first one up this morning. Absolutely crazy. I had 5 minutes of absolute quiet.

Have my usual route today. The sun is shining, should be a good one. Hoping to find a knife somewhere afterwards. Im jonesin' for a good in person find. Fishing the bay is fine, but it's those knives that I can touch before I buy that I really love to find.

Im now in the "waiting for a knife from Scott in the mail" club. I saw that all the cool kids (Dave and BH) were buying big ol' knives with saw blades from Scott and I'm trying to still be cool so I stepped up and did the right thing. And then he had a few others that looked cool too. Now I have a savings jar started for my next big boy knife purchase from Steve. He showed me an absolute banger that I'll have waking visions of until it's mine. Guess I better get out and make some tip money. You all have a good one

Morning folks, 69 heading to the low 80's. The heavy rain went south of us yestiddy, got a light sprinkle, could hear some thunder south of the homestead.
Slept in this morning dang near 7:30 before I hauled my butt out of the bed, don't know if wampus gave up on me, but he hasn't showed last I looked.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there.

Good morning all
I am back from our walk with the dogs. My Bride is finishing her walk by herself she steps it up a notch, only on the weekends when I am along.
Tom niceeee pictures. Definitely nesting time for Gods creatures. Bunny digging a hole in the backyard. Not sure if it was the last time we had baby Bunny’s or when. I receive a call from my daughter (now an airman). She’s screaming and yelling Red our dog is going to choke on the Bunny, Lori is chasing the dog anyway you know how the story ends.
This morning we started our walk and next to the sidewalk next to the swamp there is a snapping turtle. Had to go back and take a picture. Then down the street we come across a Nieghbor kid and he is in a bush, comes out with a garter snake. He un zips his backpack and says “ mom said if I caught one I could keep it” and home he went. Talk about rambling . Had to ride the bike back to get a picture. Hopefully everyone has a blessed day.

Good Mornin', Folks.
This morning is one of those special Mondays that retired folks who used to have to "go get it" no matter the weather, really enjoy! Rain is lightly falling, so far 1/2" in the gauge. We tried to keep our men out of the weather but as folks know some maintenance issues have to be remedied Rain or shine, heat or cold. We've been enjoying these rainy Monday morning for over 16 years.
Sunday was good. A short, heavy rain could be heard during church service. When we went out side the sun was bright and the asphalt parking lot was actually steaming, 90° again.
Time to start on the mowing again. Lots of our yard grass is Centipede but it has spots where Pensacola Bahai grass is mixed in. The Bahai grass puts out seed stems within a week and makes the Centipede look unkempt. If the yards were smaller we could probably eliminate the patches of pasture grass. Mowing keeps me out of trouble.
The 1st cup was good, the rain has stopped for now. Y'all have a wonderful day!

Wampus hadn't showed last I looked. Didn't see him at all yestiddy.
Trip to Sam's club in a bit.
Ike I keep it on hand at all times make a fine samidge too with a slice of home grown mater and some MW.

Good morning. We had an interesting weekend. The lady that owns the stuga we have been working on came up from Arizona and wanted help cleaning out the garage part of the building. Her two kids came and wanted a couple of things, but everything else, she just wanted gone. There were some really nice usable tools, some interesting really old tools, some good power tools, and a lot of rusty stuff. In the bottom of one old wood tool box that appeared to just be rusty junky wrenches and throw away tool parts that I had quickly checked before shoving in the back of my truck, I found three old rusty knives. They all looked like junkers and were very dirty and crusty. One that I thought was a low end delrin stockman turned out, after a considerable amount of work, a very nice surprise. It cleaned up and the scales are beautiful dark brown Rogers bone with a few chips I repaired with died bone and epoxy. The blades were near full and cleaned up pretty well, and the stamp turned out to be a rare Baldwin Cutlery, Tidioute, PA (circa 1912 to 1932) and is a very presentable and collectable knife. We are heading back over there to do a few finishing touches that the owner added yesterday afternoon. Also I have to figure out which of the tools are going into my work truck, which are going into my office as relics and antiques0 collectables, and which will be tossed into a rummage sale. Most of the stuff, a full dump trailer, is headed to the landfill. All this happened after church yesterday. It's kind of a drizzly damp morning. Have a good week.____Dave

My visiting sister set off yesterday to Chicago. She left me with a photo of my grand nephew who has launched into the world of martial arts.

Garry, it does a heart good to see a young man practicing his knife skills Your grand nephew looks very focused and disciplined, qualities that appear to be increasingly absent in a majority of youth nowadays. You should be a very proud grand uncle
