Ethnic Folder ID

Post by Teryjaki »

Another one of the knives I picked up on last week’s road-trip. I can’t seem to Identify it. Hand forged blade. One piece handle with a rotating lock collar, like an Opinel. It has some Arabic script on it that doesn’t translate. My guess when I saw it was Indonesian or Javanese but I have yet to find a similar style. I gotta say it’s pretty well done. I think I could shave with it.

Reminds me of a Filipino knife I have. ::shrug:: Mine is a fixed blade though.

I kinda feel it’s from that part of the world. The Islamic writing on it is throwing me off though.

Indonesia is predominately Islamic, so that might be where it’s from.
