That grinding shaping job on the blade looks excellent. I’d have never guessed it was your first one.

That came out about 200% nicer than my first knife.

Fabulous work Gordy! I don't know much about blade grinds, but yours looks professional to me. Very imaginative with the pommel too. Looks like we have a new maker in our midst, so I'd like to be the 1st to place an order with you, an automatic stiletto please! LOL! 8)

I love the shape and the grinds in that blade. It has a similar look to some Western hunting knives that I love. Great job!

If I ever try my hand at knife making, I'll be ecstatic if my first effort looks half as good. Nicely done! ::tu::

Thanks for all the great words, but the grind I ended up with was not what it started out to be, a lot of ooops and some other words of wisdom later this is what I wound up with, I still dont know if I like it or not ::hmm::

Jus' "like it" bud and never mind "or not", it's a beautiful knife whether it's your 1st or your 100th, you should be proud. I remember last year when I did some mangling how much fun it was until it wasn't, cuz lack of space and proper tools made it too difficult, but I sure enjoyed tinkering while it lasted. I even repaired a couple that had minor problems, but 2 that were very important to me but were beyond my capabilities were sent and came back from Muskratman completely repaired and reassembled. It was definitely worth it, they're 2 of my nicest knives, he does great work. 8)
