Case tested 6265 thin version

Post by knfpkr15 »

Can anyone tell me what the thin version of a case tested 6265 pattern is?

Never heard of it, at least not that description. Maybe someone else has. Can you provide some context, like where you saw or heard the term?

There’s a presumably older pre-folding hunter version of the 6265, which is a swell-center pen knife. But I don’t think it fits the description of “thin”.

Here’s the older Tested 6265.

I saw it in the Pocket Knife Traders Guide volume 8 by Parker and Henley pg. 171. It lists a 6265 green bone Thin Variety - Rare $2100.

You’ve sent me digging, found a “6265, Tested XX, flat thin frame, green bone, rare, 5-1/4” in Sargent’s 7th edition, page 235. Here’s a picture of it including a top-down comparison view of the thin frame and regular frame. Now I recall seeing it previously - just had forgotten about it. ::facepalm::
