Re: Blade Show June 3-5 2022
Just hard to believe that no one is going to the Largest & Best Knife Show in the Country
Re: Blade Show June 3-5 2022
I don’t think it’s hard to believe. As the economy keeps getting worse, play money gets less.

If knives are like everything else the prices on them has probably gone up too. Thanks Joe.

Or it would cost me $270 in gas if all were the cost here this morning at $4.49 with my truck getting 17.2 MPG

I've never been. Always seems to be something that comes up around that time...
Re: Blade Show June 3-5 2022
I thought I would offer my impressions from my first Blade Show (Friday):
The Good:
1. There was lots to see, and I was impressed by the booths from so many companies.
2. Everyone at the booths and tables were friendly and helpful.
3. If you are into custom knives, fixed blade and folders, you were in luck.
4. Ditto for new type folders.
The Not-so-good:
1. We purchased tickets ahead of time, but the line at will-call was God-awful.
2. We were not spending the night, so we had to leave at 3pm to "attempt" to beat the traffic out of town.
3. I was expecting to see prices below retail from the big companies (ex: Boker), and was mistaken.
4. I was looking for 50s-70s German slippies, and didn't see many.
But overall it was a good time, if not particularly fruitful for me. My only purchase was a Lansky D-Sharp Diamond Sharpener. My buddy found a knife he had been looking for at a discount, so he was happy. I enjoyed looking at all the booths and displays. So I would recommend it to anyone. But, next year I will buy the "Early Bird" ticket to get in at 10am to hopefully avoid the mile-long line for 12pm entry.
Thanks!
Keith
