My first production project

Post by jkf96a »

Some of y'all remember that minute I was into collecting slipjoints lol. Even back then I was a knifemaker. Now I've been at it 14 years, and I've taken the step to have one of my designs manufactured. I partnered with White River Knife and Tool in Fremont, MI to have a run of my basic hunter made. OAL is 7 3/4" with a 3 1/4" blade of CPM S35VN and various synthetic handle materials.

I echo those who commented before me: some very nice-looking knives. This is an instance in which I could be indecisive, so they'd probably sell out before I could pick a favorite!

The way it's looking so far, we'll be doing another run in the fall, and then may go into White River's distribution network after that.

I'll have a few on my table at Blade Show for sure as well.

The big box arrived this weekend. I have a bunch of small boxes to fold, and all the early orders to ship. I have about 55 of these left. I’ll try to post a few different color batches over the next few days and weeks.
