Spyderco..I'm Addicted

Post by Rich53 »

I used to think Spydercos were overpriced. Not anymore.

My new Native. These things are the most ergonomic I've ever used. I love that it's comfortable during extensive use and the steel is great!

Does anyone else love their Spyderco?

Oh yeah! I don't have very many Spydercos but I love all 3 of mine. I agree about the ergonomics. My Para 3 seems like it would take a stick of dynamite to knock it out of my hand. The Persistence and Ambitious have great ergos too.

Spyderco is good stuff. I recommend trying one with the Compression lock. It's even more fun to use than Benchmade's Axis lock in my opinion.

I also have a small collection of Byrd Robins which are a Spyderco product. Like their parent brand, great ergonomics.

Another vote for the Para3 ::tu:: I've got so many wonderful sharps to choose from but if it's going to be a modern flipper it's hard for me not to reach for the Para3. Truly a goldilocks knife!

Imagine that, our ~Q~ likes Wharncliffe blades! LOL! I've never been a fan of the Spydie hole, but I must say, on your knife I could certainly overlook that fact! ::nod:: Beautiful knife bud! 8)

I always thought Spyderco's were a strictly U.S. made knife, so I was a little disappointed at the number of China made Spyderco's in the latest SMKW catalog.

Yes. To my knowledge, their inexpensive entry level knives were made in Taiwan. I hope they are not moving production to the PRC.

Some Spyderco knives are made in China and have been for several years now. Some are also made in Seki Japan as is my Stretch. Others are made here in the U.S.A. Spyderco is truly an international company offering products that span a broad range of price points.
