All About Pocket Knives

Recently bought my first Muskrat. Was wondering just how much Muskrat Love there is at AAPK. Let’s see them.

Bill, "Muskrat Love" exists at Starvation Plantation. I find the muskrat pattern very satisfying when doing trim on meats and vegetables. Any knife would do the job but I got attached to this old 77OT years ago, trimming tiny pieces of silver skin from boneless venison chops and such.
This one has been on the windowsill in the kitchen for many years, it has faded delrin and plenty of well earned patina. There are several different muskrats in my pile but this one always gets called to the work: Treefarmer

Hmmm... Would this be "the treatment" of which you speak? I kinda dig the "RatFoot" mod.

LOL - you got it Kevin ... I love how that came out, just not sure I could duplicate it - some mighty fine tolerances getting rid of that swedge grind around that nail nick that just worked out right

Check the appeals department. They can sometimes escalate your claim. If so you may be able to obtain a waiver and or supplemental coverage.

I finally got my act together for this week's Muskrat Monday.

Going with an R4593, and there's a lot of complexities with this knife. Notice the double catch-bits and the fat backspring that the catch-bits partially cover on the ends. I believe this is listed as jigged stag as well. Much effort went into the design and construction of these knives.
