I’m not positive, but I THINK it’s a Robeson…

Hello,
I found an older, three blade pocket knife that I believe is a Robeson. A tang number of 132433 that seems to match their numering system is the only legible stamp or etching I can find. The opposite side of the tang looks like it might have had some writing etched on it, but I can’t be positive. The Robeson number system would suggest that this is a model 433, but I cannot find any information on that either. Wondering if someone could clarify if this is indeed a Robeson and approximately how old or even a model name or number. Thanks!

According to Houston Price 's "Official Guide" the Robeson numbers mean:
1= black composite
3=nickel silver liners and bolsters
The rest is the factory pattern number.. Couldn't find a 243(?) number in his list.
Are your bolsters iron? Hard to tell from the pics. They kind of look like pitted iron ? Good luck with it. J.O'.

Do a search for Robeson 132433 and you will find many just like it. Seems like they were quite popular.

RSBBrowning,
Welcome here, you have a good knife there. Still got plenty of life in that "Carpenters Choice" knife.
It appears to be an equal end stockman but that fabulous blade swinging off the tail end makes it what Robeson calls a "Carpenters Choice".
I don't know what that blade pattern is called.
I've got a couple here.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Was a little thrown off because I could not find an actual Robeson mark besides their number… I think it actually just wore off over time. I haven’t been able to find any pictures online with that particular handle style either. But I think you’re right that it is the “Carpenters Choice”. Thanks again!
