Hi, everyone. I'm new to this forum (found you while trying to figure out what model of Gerber knife I have). I looked through the entire Gerber product archive, but no love. Any guesses out there? Thx in advance! - mBrane

P.S. The sheath was originally black.

, Welcome aboard

Looks like a Gator, but I don't recall one made in Taiwan though.

Could you post a picture of the other side?

You bet. Sure wish they stamped steel grade on this blade! Sharpens well, maintains an edge, and the knife has a nice heft and is very well-balanced. Was hoping to find a kydex holster for it that doesn't have a thumb lock, like the one pictured above. Here's a couple more pics:

Very, *very* interesting! Thank you! So, it’s a Harsey Hunter (before the blade is blackened and the Operation Iraqi Freedom logo applied). And a full-color datasheet, to boot!

Still don’t know steel type (why would they *not* stamp that on the blade?!). Now I just need to figure out how to get a different sheath made (one that avoids a locking mechanism.

Nonetheless, you da man! I sincerely appreciate your help! Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!!!!
I appreciate the compliments but I ain't the man.
I'm just pretty good friends with him.
You had me stumped so I hollered at him (he works at Gerber). Less than an hour later...

That's a good looking knife. As far as the steel, Gerber very rarely stamps or tells steel type (at least that's the way it used to be). Their mystery steel is'Legendary' none the less.
I'll ask Carl, but I can't guarantee a definite answer.
