searching Member Stores

I know Bryan is in the process of working on the Member Stores portion of the site, and I am sure it will end up being better then ever. I do not have a store of my own, but have frequently browsed the stores in the past and have made some great purchases from member stores.

With some of the recent changes, I am having a difficult time in navigating the stores portion of the site.

When I go to the home page and click on "stores" a random scroll of misc knives from various sellers comes up. There is no "search bar"there anywhere. In order to find the search, I have to scroll down all the way to the bottom, and click on "site map", which takes me to another page where I can scroll down again to find a search function. It is buried pretry deep.
Also when I do a search there, for some reason a large number of knives come up that are "out of stock". It used to be that when a knife was sold, it was no longer listed in the store, which makes more sense than having it still there but not available.
Also there used to be an alphabetical master listing of all member stores, so that you could scroll through and search for items within an individual members store, which was very convenient. I can't seem to do that anymore either.
Just for reference, I do 99% of my browsing on my Android powered cell phone, if that makes a difference. That is what I have uses for some time now with no difficulties.
If these technicalities are in the process of being worked out, then forgive my bringing it up. I just wanted to communicate the issues I was having in case no one was aware they existed.
I certainly appreciate all the work Bryan and the admins do to provide us with this fantastic site, thanks for all you do!
((And thanks to Jerry D for helping me dig deep to locate that search function ::handshake:: )

I don't know how to show the list of stores as of 3/14/2017. Bryan will likely add this back as time permits.

Here is how to search in the stores for a pattern name like "trapper" or a brand like "case". This image is how it looks on a computer in the google Chrome browser. It might look very different on a small form factor device such as a phone. This image is snipped from the top right corner of the Stores page.

Yeah, it doesn't look like that on an Android phone. These are the steps you have to take on an Android phone and that stuff is buried up to it's eyeballs. At least if it's there in a simpler form, I couldn't find it.

Thanks Ralph, but that's not on my screen...and when I click on store, I get this page, with no search

And then when I open the little pull down menu, again no search option.

As soon as I get a chance, I'll most likely be adding a link to the store search & a link to browse by stores here...

...or maybe I'll add search bar outside of the menu for search & maybe a button to browse stores. ::hmm:: Guess I'm not sure yet, but I'll get those options added somewhere pretty soon.

Alright... For the small device users ...

I've added a shop by seller option to the drop down menu & I've added a search bar under the menu on the store's home page... I'll include it on every store page here in a bit.. Let me know what you think about these additions & if there is anything else anyone can think of I can do to make the shopping experience better ::tu::

Looks like there is a small glitch with the search bar I just added... nothing gets pulled up first pass. Have to enter keyword twice. Will fix that asap.

Also of note...

Added a dropdown menu that displays seller list for larger screen devices to make it easier to shop individual seller's stores... I'm not sure how this might work out if we get 100s of sellers at some future date, but will cross that bridge if we ever do get there.
