Is this knife a assisted opener or a switchblade? I asked the seller this question and this is there answer.Dear knife-nut,

I FORGET THE NAME OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM
ANY WAY THE KNIFE IS NOT AUTOMATIC OR ASSISTED.
YOU PULL BACK ON THE "STUDS" BEHIND THE BLADE ON THE HANDLE AND IT RELEASES THE BLADE LOCK SO THAT THE BLADE SWINGS FREE, OPEN OR CLOSED..

I believe you are correct and it was patented by Jason Williams of Wyoming RI. Jason and his step-dad Bill McHenry are two fine knifemakers.I have the 14th knife he made(when he was just 19 years old) and it is a beauty.IMBand wrote:I think it's an Axis Lock.

It's an axis lock and it's called a Sequel (the original knife in the post)
