Yes it is the small summit lake. Discontinued. It is a great "gentleman's carry" or just a very stylish EDC. Even though it is part of the "HUNT LINE" of knives. The Dynowood handles make it special. S30v steel , and that traditional look with the lockback sold me on it.

My one and only Benchmade - a 42. Great flipper. I was disappointed when they stopped making them.

Hello. Kenjap here. New to this forum. Here is my early made benchmade bali-song auto spike. It has the "Bali-song" written inside the butterfly logo. Its benchmade quickest auto ever made.

My every day carry for when I am doing chores. A model 581 with big fat handles for a solid grip when cutting hard stuff with the four inch blade of M390.
For shopping and public outings I carry a slim, smaller knife.

Really happy with this knife.

My latest Benchmade, a Proper sheepfoot. I bought it at the factory store in Oregon City the Saturday before Christmas. My wife handed me her card and said, "Go get your Christmas present."
I have an AWESOME wife!! ::nod::

The factory store is quite a place. It suprised me that most of the people shopping in the factory store were much younger than the crowd at the average knife show. I would estimate that half the customers in their 30s or younger. Benchmade seems to have captured the imagination of the younger folks! I think that is a good thing!

Though I really focus on old knives my brother sent me this Benchmade Osborne a few years ago - I really find it to be a great EDC when a big knife is needed and I can't get enough of flicking the blade open ::woot:: ... Seriously the blade fires out of the hole and locks up solid each time ::nod::
