Robeson 632497 & 632717
Robeson 632497 & 632717
Here are a couple of Robeson PocketEze Eureka junior cattle knives. Both 3 & 3/8 inches closed. The darker handled one 632497 (just recently acquired) is tang stamped Robeson/SureEdge(script)/USA. The lighter handled one 632717 (I acquired from Charlie N. A couple of years ago) is tang stamped Robeson/SureEdge(script)/Rochester. According to B. Levin “At least 90% percent of cattle knives are standard equal-ends, but a few have been made in other shapes” and this includes the Eureka. I am fortunate to have found these two as they are somewhat rare. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Dave, David, dogleg, Ike, kj, Roger and Charlie for your kind comments on my latest PocketEze addition—very much appreciated!
Ike, always thrilled when I can add another prime PocketEze example to the collection Although nice examples are few and far between. Most PocketEze users loved these easy on the pants pocket folders and used them heavily until they were used up and bought a replacement and then proceeded to use that one up too

Just realized I mispelled your name and have prob done it a couple of times in the past. I apologize for that. I like to throw nicknames at guys, but I always try to extend the courtesy of correct spelling, and pronunciation of names.Duffer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 8:14 am Thanks Dave, David, dogleg, Ike, kj, Roger and Charlie for your kind comments on my latest PocketEze addition—very much appreciated!

You are absolutely correct about the scarcity of quality PocketEze.

Ike, no problem on the name spelling! You are pretty close with Loyd. You wouldn’t believe the way my name has been spelled by some folks

Great Looking Knives. I am never lucky enough to any in that good of shape. Most I see are beat and usually have no trace of the paint in the shields.

Up until a few years ago ebay was a good source for finding a wide variety of collectible pocket knives, USA, German & British. On any one night there could be 20-30 really fine examples i was watching. These have largely disappeared now and i don't often see a good collectible knife there any more.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 6:36 pm Great Looking Knives. Unless you go to knife shows it is now hard to find collectible knives in very good condition.
Seems like most of the good collectible knives are now socked away in peoples' collections for now. Eventually they will re-appear.
