Ivory celluloid

I normally steer clear of celluloid, but was drawn to this knife earlier in the year. I become more enamored with it as time goes on. In addition to the fact that it is a Robeson, 'nuf said there, I just think the red Pocket Eze shield on this handle material is particularly striking.
I would definitely like to see other examples of Robeson celluloid posted here, this is my one and only. Thanks!

That's a great looking knife.
You should be safe. That type of celluloid typically doesn't outgas.

Nice Robeson Ike ::nod::
I agree with David above.
I have many stable "celluloid" knives, unfortunately, none that have the historic Robeson mark.
The shield really makes it stand out. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Robeson! I agree with the other posts, I have never seen that type of celluloid "outgas", but rather it only seems to shrink a little which can be seen on the ends. I have a bunch of Camillus 23's with the same "French Linen" or "French Ivory" celluloid and none of them have completely outgassed. With that said, I would still keep an eye on it.

I have had one Robeson ivoroid handled knife to outgas, so, yes, keep an eye on it.

A nice clean and very good looking knife, Ike.

Here are three Robeson knives with different covers. Not sure about celluloid.
