Any Kershaw fans out there?

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

This Kershaw 4308 has been in my pocket for years. Muskratman replaced the red wood scales with black linen micarta.

This was one of the last Kershaws in an almost empty local store display.
Interesting knife and negotiated good price cause of no box/display item.
Posting stock photo, don't want to go dig it out, LOL.

Like guarddog, I have had a SCALLION in my EDC rotation for about a year.
Great work knife - easy to open one-handed while wearing gloves even.

Yep, like Oman, I have a 4380 Double-Cross as an EDC. I love the dual liner lock in the center.....the wharnie blade, and just the right size at 3 5/8.

My only gripe is I wish they made a left-handed version.

I own a few Kershaws, love the scallion like everybody else. I have the one with the black plastic handle and it is one of my favorite edc knives, if only the blade was a bit longer it would be close to perfect. It snaps open super clean and super fast, easy in and out of the pocket. (I removed the pocket clip as it just slows me down). I like the black one so much I ordered the green one too, and was disapointed that it doesn't open nearly as smooth or fast as the black. Even with a drop or two of oil it is still a bit sluggish, so it doesn't get as much use.
I also have the skyline which is a great blade, super slim and light, love the utility of the spearpoint, holds a great edge. The flipper doesn't flip very smooth, and the release for the liner lock is a bit hard to access, but other than that I do like the skyline.
Also have a black & red leek which has maintained a razor sharp edge since I got it, super fast deployment, but also the release for the liner lock is hard to get at, limiting the amount of carry time it gets.

Love my Leek! There was a time when I worked an hour away, I got about 40 min. into my drive and realized I had left it at home. I was late that day. Every pair of jeans I own have a worn out spot at the base of the top of the right front pocket. Wish I could send a pic. When it was new it had the matte black finish over the whole knife, now it looks like polished steel. The blade has a beautiful smokey worn look from years of use and sharpening. It's a simple machine that's easy to maintain. I love doing "tune-ups." If your action is a little slugish, i recomend adjusting the main screw at the base of the blade. Call Kershaw, the service # is easy to find on their site. They'll send you new torsion bars and hardware, plus a slick little screwdriver set free.
PS, I'm a new member. Sorry for the long winded post, I'm really excited about AAPK!

I went to a auction last night and there was a KERSHAW VAPOR 1640 T BlK Design by Ken Onion. I got all excited and bought it. Got it home and there was the dreaded CHINA by the stud. Now I have a new divot tool.

MikeEngland - Welcome aboard. Salute the ensign, salute the O.D. then get below and stow your gear.

I have a couple of Leeks and a Scallion. Like 'em a lot. I have to control myself to keep from buying more Leeks (Jeez, how many of one pattern does a fella need?).

I forgot to post my most recent acquisition. Got this little Kershaw Jeep on Amazon for six bucks. Right at 3" closed, it has aluminum handles, thumb stud opening, it's made in Japan and is sharp as a razor.
