Ima wearing a Hef smoking jacket

Colonial Knife was incorporated in 1926 by three brothers; Antonio, Domenic, & Fredrick Paolantonio. It grew to become one of the largest pocket knife manufacturers in the US during the 1960s. The company shut down in 1998, but was back into production under the Colonial Cutlery International Corporation in 2001. Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. brand is the imported line of knives and tools while the U.S.A.- made products fall under the Colonial Knife brand.

Looks like 50's to me, maybe 60's. Please tell me that box was a slip open and not a glued shut container. I would have opened it but everyone would have told me not to. ___Dave

Nice! In mint condition, and with the box! I wish I had a Colonial that nice. The electrician's knife I have had since childhood was worn out when I got it, and looks awful, but is a perfect workhorse when I need it.

Wow, Congratulations MrBlister. Great find.

Colonial copyrighted the trademark Sport Topper in 1939. The earliest Sport Toppers were stamped Prov R.I.

Your knife could be from the very late 50s but I believe most likely it was early 1960's due to the tang stamp saying Prov USA.

The older ones probably didn't have a cool box like that. Very collectable knife you have there. ::tu::
