Schrade button knife

Post by Jporter1974 »

I happened across this one and a couple more different kinds. I remember talking to a guy who had a similar Schrade and he called his molasses and something? What would you call this color combination?~ Jon

Nice ones Porter. Butter and molasses is one connotation.

That color would not usually be called butter and molasses. The old Schrade company often listed color variations like that one as "assorted celluloid," and listed the pattern with the suffix AC. Below is a pic of 'butter and molasses.' Actually Schrade called b&m "brown lined cream."

Thanks for the info on these. I know very little on these and just this past week the Schrade doors have kinda opened up for me. I grew up in the "Old Timer " era of Schrade, so I chose Case XX. This week alone, I have been able to see some of Schrade's best.. I do really like them, some quality knives.
