Hey all! Just picked up a remington automatic knife- model #r2303.
Blade is sharpened a ton, and covered in black goo of some kind. One scale has a few chucks missing, and the other has a small bug hole.
Knife closes perfectly, but when opened it won't lock- the tab on the blade is sheared off. Very little side to side play, and safety is fully functional.
I am experienced with knife repair and redoing.
My question is this- how much is it worth in current condition, and is it worth me fixing properly - or should I pass it along to someone else? I'm on the fence about taking up another project.
What say you?

Another opinion you might try is muskratmanknives@gmail.com. He sells items here at AAPK as Muskratman Knives, does repairs, etc. I have dealt with him before and he is quite knowledgeable. He is a certified factory repairman.
