Bazar leverlock information

Post by millern »

I found this leverlock shell puller a few years ago at a flea market. It was in terrible condition. I managed to inexpertly repair it to the point that it is operational and somewhat presentable for my collection.
It is only stamped “BAZAR” on the blade and “Springer” on the lever-side bolster. What information is available on this knife? (To me, it appears to be a Japanese contract knife.). Thanks!

Searching our site I found this: https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... hp?t=15614 ... hope it helps.

I'm thinking Japan is the country of origin - I've seen that handle before from Japanese-manufactured knives. ::tu::

It’s a Japanese copy of an old pre-WW2 German lever knife.

Probably made around 1956-1965.

Cool piece and thanks for sharing, good to see people collecting old knives here
