I do too, really nice color handles. Comments seem to be pretty popular on the FB groups too favoring that color.

Thank you, but it's all Ryan's ideas and the knifemakers who create them. I just take pretty pictures and put them on the internet! :D

I agree though, truly beautiful knives.

These sunfish knives were revealed at the Pigeon Forge knife show this past weekend, and were very well received.

This is the Old Mother Hubbard, a classic 2 blade sunfish pattern made exclusively for renowned knife collector and dealer, Tony Foster.
These big 4 inch sunfish knives have 1095 High Carbon blades, and will be available in Mammoth Bark Ivory, Genuine Burnt Stag, Amber Sawcut Bone, and Chocolate Maple Burl handles.

For those interested in learning about the name, there is a story written by David Anthony that goes along with this knife.

Man, these turned out beautiful.
And it sure was fun listening to Mr. Foster and Ryan "discussing" the handle material while at the Lexington show. :D

I agree. Hopefully I'll get to take photos of the other 2 handles soon. When I do I'll be sure to show them here.

This is a new pattern that has been shown at a few knife shows, but was never announced online. This is the Van Helsing Hunter made under the Excelsior brand by knifemaker Chuck Hawes. They measure 5 3/8 inches closed, and all include the snake file-work on the blades and springs, as well as a hand burnt hamon on the blade.

Also, there is a blog story that goes along with it following Douglas Stacy and his story regarding these mythic Van Helsing Hunter knives, written by knife historian David L. Anthony.

Rookie, I always look forward to your posts in this thread ::nod::. Even though I can't afford to buy all the gorgeous knives, it's very enjoyable to see them and to dream & drool over the pics. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the latest DFKB releases. Much appreciated. ::tu::

Happy to do so. I enjoy the knives, and passing the info along to collectors. I collect the Tuna Valley brand ones, but all the other various brands have pretty neat and eye-catching patterns.

This is the latest release, another collaboration with Mammoth Mike. This is the Tuna Valley brand Phoenix Jack pattern knife, available in amazing Church Glass colored mammoth tooth, with praying hands shield. Only 25 knives were made, and they feature 154CM steel blade and springs.

Tuna Valley dealers should have these soon, if not already.

The latest release under the Napanoch Knife Co. brand is the Deputy Ranger pattern. This 3 inch knife is a smaller version of the popular Game Warden knife that was released last summer. This new Deputy Ranger jack knife will come in 4 different handle materials, and features a spear blade and saw blade.

These knives are exclusive to dealer Ole Kentucky Rob. Contact him if you would like to buy one.

Just a neat tool that can be used for a lot of purposes. It is the same one that was on the commemorative rooster fighting knives, but this is only the 2 blade style. Can be used to cut small wood limbs or plastic or cardboard, etc.
