Is the West-Cut brand a lesser quality knife than the regular Western Knife Co.?? ALSO--Would the carbon steel be the same quality as the regular Western Brand??

Re: Question about West-Cut quality??
As far as I can tell from examining, using and sharpening knives from both lines (WESTERN and WEST-CUT), the steel used for the West-Cut line of knives was the same as the steel used for any other line being made at the time.
There may have been differences in the handle materials used or in the metal pins, etc but in examining literally hundreds of Western vs West-Cut fixed blade knives, the fit and finish is the same, regardless of which line they came from.
The primary difference between the two lines was marketing hype.
