Western Folding Knives
Re: Western Folding Knives
My wife gave me this a long time ago when we were both a lot younger.
I used and abused it, but now I treat it fondly.

Re: Western Folding Knives
I know this is an old thread but I thought this would go in here. Western 546 and a S-532. I know I have posted the 546 before but the S-532 I just found in the bottom of one of my knife storage boxes. Maybe I have too many knives. Just thought I would share.

A couple of nice knives you have there Nev. I have followed the S-532 since I first viewed them and hope to own one someday. They look like very solid knives. Oh, BTW, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS TOO MANY KNIVES! lol! Thanks for sharing them with us!

Re: Western Folding Knives
I went through my Westerns tonight. Sone I have posted before and others i haven’t. Ive gotten rid of most of my delrin Westerns, and all of these but one of the 062 folding hunters are from the Boulder era. I’ve tried to annotate the pics with the pertinent details. Excuse the glare making some of the blades look fuzzy. I’ll try to take better pics of any you’d like to see.

My favorite of the bunch, a complete set of the 74x series in bone in cluding the rarely seen 741 muskrat. A couple of these are almost nonexistent, the 743 ive only ever seen this one. Someday maybe I’ll find better examples to replace a couple of these.

Re: Western Folding Knives
The mighty 954. Marked "J", it would be from 1987.
I thought with the nylon handles, it would be lighter than a Buck 110 despite having two blades. It weighs about the same at around 8 ounces. I recommend buying a belt sheath if you don't already have one.
Gets the job done, however.

Re: Western Folding Knives
Beautiful knife Nev! Goes right along with the S-532 you posted in this thread earlier. I've wanted one of those for quite some time now! Maybe someday, but I'd go for an S-532 instead of an S-522, jus' my personal preference!
Re: Western Folding Knives

Here's a 744 Stockman.(Boulder, CO.) Found it last Saturday, rusted completely shut. Soaked it overnight and it's now a nice carry.Full and snappy. Really like it. J.O'.

I recognize that this is an old post, but I need to thank you for posting these. I picked up this Muskrat, not too long ago. I recognized that it is similar in frame to the 742 behind it, but couldn't find any reference to it.
