STEEL WARRIOR
JUST GOT THIS DRIFT WOOD BONE HANDLES TRAPPER - IT'S ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE STEEL WARRIOR (FROST) KNIFE - AT LEAST FOR NOW
Re: STEEL WARRIOR
Not a fan of the brand, but that is kind of cool.

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I have quite a few Steel Warrior knives, including the Trapper shown above, and they are well made knives with consistently sharp edges. I have used only one of them, a small Serpentine jack with a locking master blade and it continues to hold it'd edge after about 10 years of casual use. The master is unlocked by depressing the closed secondary which is a feature i very much like and one they seem to no longer make.

Nice! I like that dog head shield.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I had never seen Steel Warrior knives before last weekend. Then I ran across this one and had to buy it for only a few bucks. It is a lock blade whittler with bone handles. Fit and finish is very good, and it came very sharp. The design is somewhat different that what we are used to for whittlers, there is one double wide spring that works the master locking blade, then there are two half thickness springs that work each of the smaller blades. Note the sticker still on the cope blade from the Rockwell test. I only occasionally buy Chinese knives like this that I have had in hand and has the fit and finish down, and the price has to be right. This one is all of the above.

I've got the same knife from Frost but it's branded as a Bulldog with Buffalo horn handles.OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:59 pm I had never seen Steel Warrior knives before last weekend. It's a well made knife for only ten dollars.

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I have a blue bone Trapper I still use a lot. Just under RR in fit and finish, but not a bad knife.
Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I have a few Steel Warriors. Here is one that I actually carried and used for a year or two. It is a pretty good knife.

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I have picked up a few at the Frost outlet store near Chattanooga. I have gifted most of them, as they are an inexpensive way to introduce younger men to traditional pocket knives. At that store you can see the same knife with a dozen different names on it. Most of their Chinese-built knives are good quality. I have held two identical knives, one from China and the other from Pakistan, and there is a huge difference in weight and feel in the knives. I just will not buy them made in Pakistan. The difference is that great.
Anyway, y'all are showing some good-looking knives here!

My first was the Doctor knife in '14. The other two were more recent '18 & '21.

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
Jerry, i have a few Steel Warrior Copperhead knives in which the master clip blade locks in the open position and you depress the closed pen blade to release the lock on the clip. Same on your knife ?

Re: STEEL WARRIOR
I just picked this up from SMKW. Frost Bulldog copperhead with locking blade. Just like the Steel Warrior. Nice knife for the money.
