If you like like Rough Rider Knives, or you are inquisitive about them, than you should really obtain one of the Black Widow folders, or perhaps the entire set of six (6) in the series.
I received the below four this week from Smoky Mountain Knife Works.
I have many RR knives, these are the finest quality I have yet received. That being based on being a knife collector for over 30 years now with a various collection spanning from knife manufacturer from all points of the world, old and new.
All the below RR are sufficient for EDC and or display. I have absolutely no complaints or mfg. problems with any of them. I consider them all precision, well made folders.
The current RR Black Widow pictures are listed below.

First picture listing:
1: 3 Blade Stockman. $14.99
2: Warncliff. $12.99
3: Lockback. $11.99
4: Medium Toothpick. $11.99
IMG_0004 (3).JPG
All have "Half Stops" except the Lockback.

The packaging is also precision made for each individual knife and very attractive.

The two missing from the series of six are:
1: Small Lady Leg. $9.99
2: Trapper. $14.99
Which were out of stock at the time of my initial order. However they are now back in stock and will be ordered to fulfill the set.

Total cost of the entire set of six: $76.94
It's always important to know what you don't know.

What would you call the pattern of the wharncliffe? It looks like sort of a cross between a copperhead and a teardrop? ::shrug::

My wife and I went cave touring in Southern Indiana. A park head quarters office had a live one on display. Neat! The ranger said they can be found in old barns. Thanks for the warning. ::tu:: I may have too get one of those knifes.

Our water meter housings have them, l mentioned it to the lady who reads the meter she thanked me and showed me her gloves and hook, said about 90% had them. Be careful if you ever have to cut your meter valve off. ::tu::

In some parts of the country, the bottom or inside of ANY object that had been sitting in a dry, dark place for a while will probably have a black widow hanging there. Where I grew-up, you quickly learned to ALWAYS turn over whatever you were about to pick-up. If you didn't see the black widow, you would almost always find a little haphazard web with a round egg-sack. I have a life-long aversion to spiders!

Sweet score, OF!

I've only seen one black widow spider in the wild. Disposed of it.
Spiders don't bother me if I know they are there. It's the ones I can't/don't see, then get a sense of something crawling on me, that freaks me out. ::paranoid::
Take care and God bless,

Thank you Stag.
They are still available at:
https://www.smkw.com/catalogsearch/resu ... lack+widow
My OP above gives my opinion.
If you received Smoky Mountain's April 2018 catalog in the mail, (I received mine today) look on page #59. Everyone of those RR,s are gorgeous to look at and hold, especially the "Exotic Trappers"

Thank you Scott.
I received the remaining back-ordered two knives from Smokey Mountain, now the set is complete.
Small Lady Leg knife and Trapper. Both have half stops and have the same precise workmanship as the above four.
