Cold Steel "Secret Edge".

Post by Captain O »

Just ordered one for $10.99 from outside the country. The 3 1/2" AUS-8 blade should cut quite well (as well as my SOG Northwest Ranger). I was so impressed that I didn't hesitate to buy one at this price. ::tu:: 8) By the way, the steel is Japanese, not Chinese. ::tounge::

Does anyone have any input concerning this "neck knife"?

Without reviewing CS products, I'm not sure which knife your are referring to. However, I have a lot of experience with CS and specifically AUS- 8. It has always been a favorite of mine. I don't know if other manufacturers temper it as well, but CS results have always been excellent for me. Let us know your results.

I'd like to find a way to lash the knife to a two-loop arrangement to hide this down the back of my neck. (It is flat enough to hide that way).

They are claiming an HRc for the knife of 57-58. This is one "bad boy". ::tu::
