Kabar big stockman and jacks.

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Knice trio Roger!!! ::tu::

I found this one in my search for jumbo jacks, a Kabar 1003. Great knife takes a razor edge and holds it well. It was boogered up a bit when I got it but a little TLC and it became one of my favorite EDCs

Thank you gentlemen.

Since I acquired the Kabar 1003 and have learned quite a bit of knife history, I've been wondering if this knife was made for Kabar by Camillus. It looks like it could have been built on a Camillus 23 frame.

My guess is that the 1003 was one of the last ones actually made by Kabar. It was discontinued in the early 70's, maybe '70 or '71.
