My newest KA-BAR

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Nice! Those blade changers came in two versions, one with the front bolster like yours and one without.

I think the shown board was made up after the fact. Dan, you got into it late, there were 20 or more of those boards sold on the bay some years back, a guy who worked for KA-BAR found a stack of them among leftovers in Olean and sold them all.

Not really my newest... but I dug this out... dusted it off... and realized this guy ain't seen the light of day for years ::suspense:: I know it is the latter Ka bar markings/tang stamp. Anyone know how this one might could be?
