Kabar addition to my collection

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Kabar addition to my collection

Post by Gone2Three »

Howdy friends,
I just picked up this little guy and wanted to share it with y'all.
Not completely sure what model or year just yet, but it looks to be in decent shape overall. If anyone here can fill in the blanks that would be appreciated....

That's a little cutie! If that's the one that sold on ebay early in the week you are lucky since I wasn't feeling well that day and forgot to bid at the last minute. Knife was made 1923-1942, no real way to get a more narrow time frame. I think you got it for a really good price.

Lol...then I'll consider myself very lucky, rarely do I win an auction but was happy to acquire it. I really like it and will go nicely with my others that I've been picking up.
Would you know what the handles are made of? Thanks for your reply!

Thanks... yeah, with the design in the handles suspected as much, but had hoped for the latter.
Appreciate your reply!
