HUNTER'S & COKEBOTTLE'S (Pre 60s)
Going to start a New thread dedicated to Hunters & Cokebottles because there were MANY Variations & a lot of folks only collect this particular pattern so I thought it would be EASIER to Navigate in the future on the KA-BAR Forum.
I will start off with this Etched Beauty that was never used
Kindest Regards & Blessings Everyone,
Mark

Rattlesnake: Just love those old etched pieces...Don't have any etched Hunters or Cokebottles now.. Did pick up a swing guard hunter lock back
two months ago at a Gun Show. Pre 1923.. nice scales, some original finish on blade, never etched, tight, Just a good old soul. Just had to
rescue it and return it back to the knife world were it is appreciated. Again some knock out pieces you posted.

This is an interesting variation of the lock blade folding hunter with guard. Note the double pulls, each pull is an identical "match striker" pull.

Similar to the one Steve posted earlier, but no double pull and a plain shield.I don't recall ever seeing pulls like on Steve's before.
This one has the patent date on the guard. This is the first one of the locking guards I owned that didn't have a dog's head shield.

Those are some awesome looking knives chorizotaco! Thanks for posting them! My personal favorit is the second one from the top with the lanyard hole.

Re: HUNTER'S & COKEBOTTLE'S (Pre 60s)
I just got this one today, I believe it’s an original dog head pre 1920’s? I love these old knives.... also wondering if those initials are from the original owner
Re: HUNTER'S & COKEBOTTLE'S (Pre 60s)
Nice old Union Cutlery knife Philwil1. Pre KABAR marks so maybe before 1923 if the rule for fixed blades holds true for folders. Nice old bone covers too. The initials aren't factory.
