My Latest KA-BAR Pocket Knife

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Hey New Windsor I like your new Kabar. Two blades and one backspring make for a slim knife. Slips into your pocket real easy.

I used to live in Orange County NY and worked at the Stewart Air Guard base. Is that where you’re from?

Keep your edge sharp, otherwise you just can't cut it.

Looking for Carrier Cutlery and early Robeson with Elmira tang stamps.

Yes. Got transferred to Los Angeles, with my job, in 1978.

I think I have one like it, found in an old tackle box at a garage sale. Gonna try to attach a pic. I don’t know much about Ka-Bar in particular as I collect mostly Case but I’ve tried to find some info on it but I haven’t found model or year etc.

I picked up this Kabar moose at a gunshow yesterday. I had not seen a moose made by Kabar before. It is 4" long overall closed and in decent shape. A good addition to both my Kabar pile and my moose pile. It just has the tang stamp Kabar with no model number.
