Nice looking stag. I've always liked Doctors knives as they are unique looking.

Quick Steel there is an earlier Bulldog Brand doctors knife series you might be interested in also. Its the Country Doctor in jigged bone with one barehead bolster. Very pleasing to look at and the quality is there. I don't have the complete set but that is a knife pattern I keep looking for.

I have a 2018 Doctor's knife which is very well made.
Wish I had the spatula like yours though.

I love the unique looking shield on yours.

Bob, who made your Doctor's knife? Bar shields are not very common; another reason I like the knife.

Hey QS here is the country Dr. I have. Great example except for the cracks in the bone. Not as impressive as yours.

The spatula blade appears larger on yours. And I notice the bar shield. I guess the bar is the most practical shield for this narrow pattern.
Dog, would you know what commonly causes cracks? I'm thinking the bone or other covers become too dry. Or, perhaps the knife has experienced frequent or significant changes in temperature. I suppose pin cracks result from an error in manufacturing. Any ideas?

QS, I really don't know. I figured it was from either too much pressure in the manufacturing process or a natural fault in the bone. ::shrug::

My Ivory Doctor's knife has that narrow style of spatula but not the bar shield.

Case,2018, #5285

And I stand corrected. I do have a spatula on this.
