Sometimes if someone is looking for a specific serial number you might be able to get a little better price. What is your Serial #? Should be on the bolster.

There were 11 Colonel Coon mule day knives, 1980-1990. Pics show all eleven. Seven out my 11 are number 395. I'm looking for the other 395's but it is the needle in the haystack. But, the fun is in the hunt. Sorry for the blurry pics. Took these a while back.

Mule Day knives are about like any other club knife. Have to find the right person that has a specific interest. In general the Colonel Coons go for more that the other mule day knives. You interested in selling them?

I have a 1984 mule day col coon with a serial 0000, if they are 1 of 1000 would this be the first or last? Figured the series would run 0001 to 1000. I know this is an old thread and would appreciate any feedback I can get. This was amongst many knives past down to me from my papa and never heard of this brand. He practically set up camp in SMKW lol

The 1984 Mule Day was the 3 blade stag stockman in the fancy box. Out of the 11 Colonel Coon Mule Day knives probably the one that consistently sells for the most money. Can't say for sure about the 0000 serial number. May have been the proto for that year. Hard to say though. Do you have any other Mule Day knives with 0000? Like other clubs or commemorative knives, you typically had the same serial number for as long as you continued to buy the annual knife. I know Mule day has knife number 11 through how many they did that year assigned to specific members that buy the annual Mule Day knife. Numbers 1 through 10 they auction off each year to the highest bidder. Here's a little info straight from the Mule Day website regarding the 2018 knife. (notice no mention of knife 0)

The Mule Day Committee is excited to offer as the 2018 Mule Day Knife, Case Hawkbill Pruner 4 1/8”, Single blade, laser-etched amber bone knife with brass pins and liners and nickel silver bolsters. Each of the knives are boxed, serialized and etched for named collectors. There will also be 50 non-serialized knives available for $70, first come first serve.
Knives 1 thru 10 will be auctioned off at 4pm at the Main Stage in Maury County Park on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Knives will go to the highest bidder above the minimum $70.00 bid with the money going to 10 different charities.

The triple 000 is the knife that is auctioned off annually by the Maury county mule day guild to support their program. They usually bring a good premium above standard numbered knives. Hope this helps!
