Here are some additional knives
The first two pictures are of Pearl Handled knives (Prototypes that never went into production) The top one is a 3 blade knife with filed back springs and liners that CSC attempted, 1 of 1 produced.
The lower knife is a single blade, liner lock, Pearl Handle that CSC attempted to make for Queen. The Back, liners and liner lock are all filed. This knife is 1 of 1 also and never went into production.
The two pictures below that are pictures of a knife that CSC tried to dye their own Bone for the handles. This didn't work out as they could not control the heat in order to reach the desire color. This was their one and only attempt at dying their own bone...another 1 of 1
Love these knives.

Re: Latest Canal Street Additions
Nice group of knives, especially when they are rare or hard to get hold of, but isn't picture number four a Wildcat Driller?
Re: Latest Canal Street Additions
Could be a Wildcat Driller, however, I was told it was an Elephant's Toe.....Guess I need to do a little more research on it to be sure.
Thank you
Tom

Tom I'm very glad you've been able to acquire these knives. With the demise of Canal Street Cutlery, it's good to know they are in the hands of someone who will appreciate them fully for the rare treasures they are.

Thank you Phil and John!
I have several more to add that have found their way into my Schrade Cave since I posted these. Maybe I can get some pictures soon and get them posted up as well.

Re: Latest Canal Street Additions
ok Tom, Those are some fine knives! Canal Street made some amazing knives and I will join you in showing off some of their craftsmanship. Going to start off with some muskrats. The first year anniversary is numbered 001 and has a unique nail nick compared to the others. Also no stamp on the tang. This came out of Wally's knife roll. The green bone muskrat Wally told me is an extremely rare bird, it was in the safe downstairs and is really one of my favorites. The chestnut is number 145. I will post more as I get time to take pics. Thanx again TOM for sharing you awesome collection.

Tom those tang stamps have to be even more rare than the knives they were used to stamp. Great addition to the collection.

Re: Latest Canal Street Additions
I have recently added two great knives to my gathering of Canal Streets. The first one was gifted to me by a Very Good Friend (Thank you very much Phil). Its a Swell Center Jack in Red Micarta, a True Beauty that adorns a special place among my Canal Street knives.
The second knife I have recently added is an AG Russell, made by Canal Street Boxcar Jack
A. G. Russell™ Boxcar Jack™ During the Great Depression, tools like this were carried by men who traveled the country looking for work. T ese men were called Hobos and their commonmode of transportationwas a train boxcar. T e A. G. Russell™ Boxcar Jack consists of a knife and fork held together by slots and pins in the liners. Simply push the mark, or obverse, side of the knife toward the pivot to slide the two halves apart. Handsome handle scales of cocobolo, burgundy Micarta®, or oiled ram's horn, with our unique “dog bone” inlay, will make you the envy of all your friends wherever you use it. T e knife and fork are made with modern, sanitary materials - stainless blades, liners and springs and nickel silver bolsters. T e steel is DIN 1.4112, a mid-level 440 with added vanadium and copious amounts of molybdenum and 16-18% chromium, which creates excellent edge holding and corrosion resistance. Heat-treated to 57-59 Rc. T e knife blade is a full 3-¼ ˝ in a handle that measures just 3-¾ ˝. Slim and unobtrusive, it makes a perfect personal travel tool. Weighs approximately 3.6 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
I will post pictures later tonight!
