Honey brown Canvas Micarta Half Moon trapper

Former Schrade President Walley Gardner and principal Joe Hufnagel joined with nine master cutlers to form a group of US craftsmen with over 300 years of combined knife making experience to create Canal Street Cutlery. It was first located in upstate New York where a long and rich tradition of quality knife making dates back to the 19th century. Unfortunately, the company closed its doors in 2015, but not before making some great knives. The brand was resurrected in 2018 as Canal Street Cutlery Co-Op & focused on making very small batches of high quality traditional knives. As a Co-Op, it was owned by the knife makers who worked there. Unfortunately, the business model couldn't hold up & the entity again ceased production.

I have the Pinch Lock Back and what a great knife! I have also ordered it with the factory engraving and another with custom engraving on the bolsters. I love Canal Street Knives and my favorite is the Pinch!

You can see some of my gathering of Pinch Lock Backs in the CSC Pinch Lock Back Treasures posting!
With the exception of four that I got from Red Trout, all of my knives came from Michael at Droppointhunter.com

I have to admit ~ I am really proud of how we were able to influence the way those handles came out with such rich texture. Thanks for posting it TAB.

Gents,

That knife showed up scary sharp anyways. I took it to field and went thruogh a 1/2 dozen doves (not many birds plus my poor shooting) twice, and its still a cutter. Took it to a sharpening steel and its ready again for tomorrow.

Love it love it love it. ::groove::

Triple F-

That steel CSC uses is slick isn't it? Its my favorite of the newer steels. (I'm a recovering German carbon steel addict.) It gets just sick, sick, sharp. ::drool::
