Former Schrade President Walley Gardner and principal Joe Hufnagel joined with nine master cutlers to form a group of US craftsmen with over 300 years of combined knife making experience to create Canal Street Cutlery. It was first located in upstate New York where a long and rich tradition of quality knife making dates back to the 19th century. Unfortunately, the company closed its doors in 2015, but not before making some great knives. The brand was resurrected in 2018 as Canal Street Cutlery Co-Op & focused on making very small batches of high quality traditional knives. As a Co-Op, it was owned by the knife makers who worked there. Unfortunately, the business model couldn't hold up & the entity again ceased production.
Even as a neophyte I can see the works of art and your outstanding display of them. The 3rd horizontal knife from the left bottom, ….is that also a Canal Street? The bowtie shield looks like it has 'AAPK' inscribed. Does the group have a custom knife and if so, was it made by Shrade/Canal Street?
SilverBackLeprechaun Hello;
I know your new to this site so I will try to help you.
I have sent you 2 PMs and you have never looked at one yet.
Perhaps you not know how? If you need help I will try to do this or just join in the chat room and ask in there, how to get your PMs?
Here's a little display of swell centered jacks I've just put together. From left to right they are; Elk Antler, Green Stagged Bone, Paua Shell (abolone), Reclaimed Chestnut Wood, and Amber Stagged Bone.
The only thing lacking is that knife in pearl. Maybe someday........

Really Nice dispalys Phil! I have grown my CS gathering enough where I can get a couple of small displays done as well. Good rainy day weekend project I think!
Looks like I need to update the photo on my more recent display of swell centered jacks. I have recently added a couple more to that display as you can see in the picture below.

Very nice display there shows those Jacks off very well, I'll have to get mine in a display some..........There is one other Jack that has eluded me, and that is the oiled rams horn, SMKW were selling when the jacks came out and I never pulled the trigger In time 1 of 25 I believe.
Russell my first sighting of one of the blue ones was on ebay a couple of days ago. I'm like you, I'm struggling to keep up. Now I find out there's also a rams horn version.......... Oh well that's part of what makes this hobby fun, the chase.
If I add any more I'm going to have to use a larger display case.
I thought I'd add an update on my display of swell centerd jacks since I've added a few more.
From left to right in the photo:
Smooth White Cattle Bone
American Elk Antler (Red Hill Cutlery shield)

Awesome collection Phil ! The last knife on the right is my favorite although I really like the stags too. ::double drool::
Where did you come by the holder/cabinet/case?
Beautiful collection and that Wilde"BEAST"...ooouch...so when are you going to jump on the engraved Buffalo Horn from Droppoint?
So on a serious note the only one's I figured not included yet is the Rams Horn,Burnt Stag Founders Day and another Elk with the CSC shield...any others
Thanks guys. I have just today recieved yet another one I didn't have in that collection handled in green abolone. The one I already had was a Red Hill Cutlery SFO in what they called paua (a type of abolone).
I hope to somehow locate the others as time goes by but with such limited production numbers that's likely to be quite a challenge.
Gino I got that case in an ebay purchase that included one slipjoint knife in the case. It's got a glass top but I photographed it open to better show the knives.
