This is some of the razors from Joe Chances collection. Lots more but I thought I'd show a few of the pieces.

Impressive lot for sure Keith!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Thanks guys. I've never had any interest in razors but as I research these I'm starting to really appreciate them and the workmanship that goes into them. Some have some really cool etches on the blades.

Nice group!
My favorites are the Catt , Case, and Crandalls with jigged bone handles. Most I see have some kind of synthetic, metal, or horn--not bone.

Man those sure do look nice Kieth. Never paid much attention to raisers but they can be real eye catching pieces. Think I'll keep an eye out for some pretty ones now. Thanks for sharing!

I have no idea how that would work, but it is a very interesting item.

My only one, a Clauss. Original owner was my great-Granddad, who shaved with it regularly.
The handles are imitation ivory, and there is a quite large leaping deer inlay. I am wondering what the inlay is made out of. It hasn't aged like nickel silver, and I doubt it's real silver.
I keep meaning to pick up some made by companies more known for knives, especially a Union.
