WW1 Crown and Sword Razor

Post by Unclebob »

This razor was found locally to me, here in Essex, in the U.K. It has horn scales, 'The Crown and Sword Razor' 'Extra Hollow Ground' on the blade, with ERN 1158 on the blade root, with 'Made in Germany'.
Ironically, this is a First World War British Issue razor, with a Royal Artillery serial number!

My, how the tide turns in just a few short years. Ironic is about the best word to use there.

I have a few straights but haven't really learned much about them except for the fact that the majority I find on the market are in fact German made. Just something about that German steel... ::nod::
