Prayer for our grandson

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayer for our grandson

Post by treefarmer »

Our middle grandson, Maddox Hansen is having shoulder surgery tomorrow morning. I would be grateful if you folks that pray, would petition the Lord to guide the surgeon's hand tomorrow as he repairs a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
Maddox is 16, a straight A student and quite a baseball player. He messed up his shoulder diving back into 1st base on a pick-off move. I had a talk with him a few minutes ago on the phone and hopefully encouraged him by sharing some of my surgery recovery stories and reminding him it's in the Lord's hands. He's a Christian for which we are very thankful.
Prayer on his behalf will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Holy Father, we are so thankful that Maddox is your child. We pray that you would bring him through this surgery and be just as strong as you made him when he was created in his mother's womb. Let him be a shining example of your love so that he can share that love with his friends. May this event glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and bring others to a knowledge of His saving grace.

Thank you Lord Jesus for being our advocate to the Father. We ask these things in your holy Name.

UPDATE ON MADDOX: his mother said he out of surgery, doc said it was a worse tear than they had thought but the repair went well. Rehab to begin in 6 weeks.
Thank the Lord and you folks that prayed for him! It'll be tough on him keeping that arm inactive while it heals.
Again, grateful for the prayers. ::handshake::
