Prayers for Ricky.

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Roland sorry to say but I have no update. We found out he was sick on face book and there has been nothing posted since. His father in law has evidently done away with his land line and I've not been able to reach him. ::shrug:: I will update when I can, just keep him in you thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

So you cannot visit him. Nobody can visit with him. Right ?
And the nurse or doctor will not tell you anything because you are not 'next of kin', Right ?
And the spouse or parent or adult child who is being informed might be too upset to make phone calls or post on line.
It is a frustrating and anxiety producing situations for the family members and for close friends.
But it must be horrific for the patient: you know you are dying and you cannot have your family around you to feel their love. Instead you are alone with your own fears growing.

Roland you've hit the nail on the head. And don't forget the hippa laws. My wife was a RN and she wouldn't even tell me when a close neighbor and friend was in the hospital.

Very good news. From what i have read he is now unlikely to take a turn for the worse, but recovery might be prolonged.
It is heartening to hear a success story.

Another update. They found a spot on Ricky's brain and couldn't get a diagnosis from the test they ran so they did surgery to get a biopsy. They think it was infection and removed it. They have done a MRI to get a baseline and now it's wait and see I guess. I ask that you Keep he and his wonderful family on your prayer list. Thanks. ::handshake::

I am glad to hear he is on the mend!
